Emily Lazar is the first female mastering engineer to win the Grammy Award for a Best Engineer on a Non-Classical Album for her work on Beck’s Colors, in addition to four other nominations. Lazar is also the founder and president of her own audio mastering studio, The Lodge, which she founded in 1997. Based out of New York City, Emily has worked with a variety of female-powerhouse artists including Sia, Dolly Parton, Haim, Jewel, Maggie Rogers, Liz Phair, and Alanis Morissette. Her latest work includes Haim’s Women in Music Part III and The Killers highly anticipated album.

Emily joined Pandora's Pass the Mic to share her journey from songwriter to mastering engineer, developing The Lodge’s comforting and inviting atmosphere, and encouraging women to join her field.
